Simply put, it is the distance between the center of two pixels or beam of light.

This distance is measured in millimeters, the closer the pixels are to each other, the more resolution the screen will have.

However, the smaller pixel pitch may not always be the best choice for a project, as they are more complex and therefore more expensive LED displays.
