To get the most out of your LED screen you need the right software: one that lets you schedule content, configure technical parameters and manage the screen from anywhere. At LEDLEMON we work with the NovaStar ecosystem, one of the most reliable LED controller manufacturers on the market, whose tools are free and constantly updated.

Viplex Express — Content management (PC)

Viplex Express is the most widely used content management software for PC on NovaStar LED screens. It allows you to schedule and update screen content —images, videos, text and animations— easily, with a clear visual interface that requires no prior technical knowledge.

With Viplex Express you can:

  • Create playlists with multiple content zones.
  • Schedule broadcast times by day and time slot.
  • Update content directly from your computer via USB, WiFi or local network.
  • Manage multiple screens simultaneously from a single device.

What usually goes wrong: the first time. Finding the player on the network and pairing it is where almost everyone gets stuck.

Viplex Handy — Mobile app (Android and iOS)

Viplex Handy is the smartphone and tablet version of Viplex Express. Available on Android and iOS, it allows you to manage screen content from your mobile without needing a computer. Ideal for businesses where the owner needs to update messages in seconds from anywhere.

What usually goes wrong: nothing, if the screen is already properly set up on the network. If it isn't, your phone won't find it.

NovaLCT — Advanced technical configuration

NovaLCT is the technical hardware configuration tool for NovaStar controllers. It is used in the initial startup of the screen and in maintenance interventions: resolution adjustment, colour calibration, brightness configuration, module mapping and firmware updates.

It is the software used by LEDLEMON technicians in every installation. Regular users do not need to use it except in exceptional circumstances.

What usually goes wrong: one wrong parameter and the screen shows blocks, goes black or is left with half-installed firmware. Try it above.

Kompass FX3 — Professional multimedia playback

Kompass FX3 is NovaStar's professional playback software, designed for fixed installations that require managing complex visual content with high reliability: control rooms, data centres, auditoriums, conference centres. It offers greater control over the input signal, content layers and synchronisation.

What usually goes wrong: input signals, layers and synchronisation. In a control room there's no margin for trial and error.

VNNOX — Control your screen remotely from the cloud

VNNOX is NovaStar's cloud platform that LEDLEMON integrates as a standard solution in all its installations. With VNNOX you don't need to install any software: you access it from your browser and control your screen from any device with an Internet connection.

With VNNOX you can:

  • Upload and schedule content (images, videos, text) at any time and from anywhere.
  • Control brightness and schedule automatic shutdowns remotely.
  • Monitor screen status in real time.
  • Manage multiple screens simultaneously from a single control panel.

Frequently asked questions about the software

What software do I use to upload and schedule content?

Viplex Express (from a computer) or Viplex Handy (from a mobile or tablet). If you prefer not to install anything, VNNOX works directly from your browser.

Can I control my screen from anywhere?

Yes. With VNNOX, as long as the screen player has an Internet connection, you can manage it remotely from any device.

What is NovaLCT for?

To configure hardware technical parameters: resolution, colour calibration, brightness and firmware updates. It is the tool for installation technicians.
