Football fans want more than to watch the game: they want to experience it. A bar or restaurant with a large-format LED screen creates that stadium atmosphere that conventional televisions cannot replicate. The giant image, frameless and with exceptional brightness and contrast, makes the difference between a packed venue and an empty one on key dates.
Why an LED screen and not a large television?
A professional 85-inch television has visible frames, limited brightness, and a lifespan of 50,000–70,000 hours. An LED screen of equal or greater surface area:
- Has no frames: continuous image without interruptions.
- Up to 10 times brighter: visible on terraces and rooms with intense ambient light.
- Lifespan of 100,000 hours: double that of a high-end TV.
- Size without limits: you can install from 2 m² to an entire wall.
- Multiple uses: when there is no match, it displays advertising, menu of the day, decoration, or any content you want.
Sporting events that generate the most foot traffic
Football is the sport that draws the most customers to bars, but an LED screen is also profitable for other high-interest events:
- Champions League, LaLiga, Copa del Rey, Eurocopa, World Cup.
- Roland Garros, Australian Open, Wimbledon.
- Formula 1, MotoGP, Tour de France, Vuelta a España.
- NBA and Euroliga Basketball.
- Olympic and Paralympic Games.
What LED screen model do you need?
For the interior of the bar or restaurant
Interior models have a brightness of 1,500–3,500 nits and a Pixel Pitch of P2.6 to P3.91. The image is sharp at distances of 3–10 meters and the colours are accurate and vivid. They are more economical than outdoor models and offer an excellent visual experience in enclosed spaces with controlled ambient lighting.
For the terrace or outdoors
Outdoor screens must have brightness greater than 5,000 nits to be visible in direct sunlight, and IP65 protection to withstand rain, humidity, and temperature variations. The outdoor P3.91 model is the most commonly used in hospitality for this type of installation.
Recommended size based on venue capacity
- Small bar (up to 40 people): 2×1.5 m screen visible from any point in the room.
- Medium bar (40–100 people): 3×1.75 m screen or larger.
- Terrace or large venue (over 100 people): 4×2.5 m or more so no one misses a detail.
Buy or rent?
For one-off events such as finals or world championships, renting an LED screen is an agile option with no initial investment. For a bar broadcasting matches throughout the season, the purchase pays for itself in a few weeks thanks to the increased foot traffic and sales it generates.
